Volunteer Work
I am a social worker at heart, and the fight to eradicate homelessness, and to help those in need is embedded in my soul. I have planned, organized and created all the promotional media for health fairs, fundraisers, and special events. I do love event planning, recruiting and training volunteers. My events have raised 2k to 10 k for various individuals and organizations.
When employed with the state of Texas, I was the chair of the Wellness Committee and was instrumental in providing yoga, tai chi, and aerobics classes to the office.
I volunteer at local festivals like, Old Settlers Music Festival (8 yrs), Founders Day (3yrs) and Kerrville Folk Festival (7 yrs).
